Steve Jobs Gets a Postage Stamp and Other News You Need to Know

The U.S. Postal Service will honor Steve Jobs with a new postage stamp, according to The Washington Post. The Post also got its hands on a list of approved subjects for other new stamp designs. Some notable characters include Janis Joplin, Harvey Milk, Johnny Carson and Dora the Explorer.
Google’s Advanced Technology and Projects group, or ATAP, unveiled a new product on Thursday called Project Tango. It's a 3D-mapping initiative packed into a tiny mobile phone. The team says it wants to "give mobile devices a human-scale understanding of space and motion.”
Turns out WhatsApp was worth more than the $19 billion Facebook shoveled out for the company, according to a report from The Information. Google offered to outbid Facebook, but WhatsApp’s founders were worried Google was only interested in keeping WhatsApp away from Facebook, so they turned down the offer.
